Form and Essence was created when two long-standing colleagues—each with a different but deeply complementary trajectory—chose to bring their practices together. The studio stands on the combined experience of Uroš Petrevski, whose work is rooted in a rigorous exploration of digital technologies, and Erik Arvedson, who moved from theoretical physics into design, programming and strategic innovation. Their partnership is built on shared curiosity, technical depth and a continuous search for new ways to shape meaningful digital experiences.
Uroš has spent his career transforming algorithms into cultural and emotional artefacts across interfaces, services, digital products, installations and scenographies. His independent explorations often pushed beyond conventional boundaries, with several projects later commercialised or industrialised. His work is represented in the permanent design collection of the MAM Museum of Modern Art in Paris, and during his years in the city he co-created Nodesign.net, a globally recognised design and innovation agency.
Erik's background in physics informs his analytical approach to design and technology. After leaving research, he built a career spanning AI product development, digital transformation and creative engineering. His work ranges from early natural-language search systems to intelligent product experiences and award-winning event technologies for international organisations.
Form and Essence brings these two perspectives into a single practice—merging scientific rigour with design sensibility, and AI capability with human relevance—to build products and experiences where technology and human purpose meet.
